I remember when I was just a baby I would sit on her lap and watch tv with her. We would sleep together all the time we would make each other laugh and have fun. We went to see flowers and pick them, then when we would go home I would sit on her lap. Then she would give me my bottle when I was a baby and I would fall right asleep
My wife Cathy and I had the pleasure of knowing Ellie after meeting the Busch Family back in 1997. The meeting was arranged by our dog Cobi and the Busch dog, Shadow. Our two families have been close ever since. At many holiday gathering , Ellie would be in attendance and surely part of the gang. I will always remember her riding around the neighborhood, putting the miles on her tricycle. I recall many times when she would come upon Sharon and I chatting on the side of the road and Sharon would quickly hand her cigar over to me to hold until Ellie had peddled out of sight. This always made me chuckle, as I believe Ellie knew all too well, that Sharon was toking on a stogie. Rest well dear Ellie, and may there be a tricycle for you in the Heavens…Ride On !

The lifestyle of good people is like the sunlight of dawn that keeps getting brighter until broad daylight. Ellies' legacy of warmth & love shows in the wisdom she acquired throughout her life. Our conversations during the last few months of her life spoke to me with sweet memories. It's what I call paying it forward. Share the good & be an encouragement to the younger generations. The short time we spent together is but a chapter of many- one can only imagine. My dear friend you are not forgotten. Love, Tippie
We met Ellie & some of her family in the mid 90's at Niagara Falls Canada. I had been doing Family History research for a long time & was able to connect Ellie & my family through a great grandfather. After the meeting we had a strong & growing relationship sharing hundreds of e-mail with family information. We traveled to Florida twice to visit her & John. Always a very pleasant & kind lady. You are missed Ellie, but you will never be forgotten.You are in my charts for the future family folks. RIP. Love Mike & Joan. Canada.
I have so many wonderful memories of Gramma. She was a beautiful, warm, caring, generous, funny, and inspirational woman. I loved how she would greet me with a smile and “Hi sweetheart” and ask me to sit down and tell her what was new. Her hugs were so warm and filled with so much love.
She and my daughter Naia had a special bond since the day they met. Naia would sit with Nana (she was Nana to Naia) in her apartment and watch the Lawrence Welk Show together, or sit at the table and eat snacks, or play games at her table, it didn’t matter to Naia what they did—as long as they were together. If Naia was having a bad day, all she had to do was walk into Nana’s apartment and all was well with the world again.
I’m so grateful for the all the time that George, Naia, and I were able to spend with her. We miss her dearly, but have many wonderful memories that will keep her with us always.
All of the wonderful memories of my loving mother and friend will always be with me, to encourage and guide me. She will be missed for as long as I am. She is a beautiful flower in my garden of memories.
