My wife Cathy and I had the pleasure of knowing Ellie after meeting the Busch Family back in 1997. The meeting was arranged by our dog Cobi and the Busch dog, Shadow. Our two families have been close ever since. At many holiday gathering , Ellie would be in attendance and surely part of the gang. I will always remember her riding around the neighborhood, putting the miles on her tricycle. I recall many times when she would come upon Sharon and I chatting on the side of the road and Sharon would quickly hand her cigar over to me to hold until Ellie had peddled out of sight. This always made me chuckle, as I believe Ellie knew all too well, that Sharon was toking on a stogie. Rest well dear Ellie, and may there be a tricycle for you in the Heavens...Ride On !
